The final olive genome assembly, Oe9, has a total length of 1,315,765,470 bp, scaffold N50 of 734,380 kb and contig N50 of 52 kb. BUSCO results indicate a 93.4% of complete genes (20.6% duplicated), 1.5% fragmented and 5.1% missing). A 40% of the sequence has been anchored in 23 linkage groups and we have also assembled the Mitochondrial and plastid genomes.
By using a combination of ab initio gene predictions and homology searches to proteins and transcripts, we have annotated 55,595 protein-coding genes whose 89,204 transcripts encode 79,134 unique proteins.
