The current reference assembly, monax5, is 2.62 Gbp long with a scaffolds N50 of 892 kb and a contig N50 of 75 kp. The protein-coding genome annotation resulted in 30873 genes, whose 44630 transcripts encode 41826 unique protein products. 90% of the annotated proteins have been succesfully functionally annotated.
